Saturday 18th February

Ascot 1.50 Bold Endeavour 1pt win @ 4’6 – Has been most impressive in two runs to date and is the only runner in this with a Grade 1 entry at Cheltenham

Haydock 2.05 Green Brook 1pt win @ 3’1 – Course winner who landed a competitive Grade 3 handicap at Sandown a fortnight ago, having won the same race last year; also effective on good going

Ascot 2.25 Danny Kirwan 1/2 pt ew @ 6’1 firms offering 4 places – Won here last March and good second in Grade 3 handicap over C&D in October when back from his summer break, both of those races on good ground; every chance he will again prove highly competitive

Haydock 2.40 Omar Maretti 3/4 pt ew @ 5’1 / 9’2 firms offering 4 places (NAP) – Prominent-racer who won two in a row in good style early last year then was pulled up in Cheltenham Festival handicap; returned with fair third of four at Ayr last month and this lightly raced 9yo could still have more to offer; very interesting contender

Ascot 3.00 Djelo 1/2 pt ew @ 8’1 / 15’2 firms offering 4 places – Scored very easily at Exeter on British debut, following up his French win and looking a useful prospect; beaten favourite the last twice but latest effort was creditable and it suggested this step back up in distance will suit; looks of strong interest being so unexposed

Wincant0n 3.12 I Like To Move It 1pt win @ 100’30 – Won a bumper here; some feat to have defied top weight in the Greatwood at Cheltenham and although behind First Street in his two runs either side of that, he did finish nearly 3l ahead of the Henderson runner (who was conceding 3lb) in last season’s Betair at Newbury; Cheltenham last time was disappointing but soft ground over 2m4f seemed to find him out; much better can be expected of him this afternoon

Ascot 3.35 Pic D’Orhy 1pt win @ 3’1 – Good novice chaser last term; three from three this season, including all-the way wins in the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon and Silviniaco Conti at Kempton; this four-time Grade 2 scorer is currently better than ever and could well improve further the way he’s going; big player back at the top level

ITV Double 1pt ew Djelo ( firms offering 4 places ) & Omar Maretti ( firms offering 4 places )
