Monday 10th April

Fairyhouse 2.40 Tekao 1/2 pt ew @ 5’1 – Looked to be tanking in the Boodles at the festival when getting the 3rd last all wrong & it was game over. Was well backed that day and is well worth a shot at redemption considering how well he was going

Kempton 2.55 Dancing Goddess 1pt win @ 11’4 – Has a full on all weather pedigree and bolted up in some style on debut at this track. The form looks to have substance with some well beaten rivals that day going on to score.

Fairyhouse 3.15 Heia 1/2 pt ew @ 11’1 firms offering 5 places – An uber tricky handicap with a whole host of interesting types. The selection caught the eye at Galway last Summer and looks to have been held back for a Spring campaign

Kempton 3.30 Slipofthepen 1pt win @ 8’13 – Sprinted clear when asked the question on debut over C&D and promises to be a much better type than these rivals at 3

Fairyhouse 3.40 Beacon Edge 1/2 pt ew @ 8’1 – Never made any impact at Cheltenham ( wide throughout ) but is much better than that. I always find it interesting when Blackmore takes a mount for these connections ( won on this back in 2019 ) they usually run well

Kempton 4.05 Pride Of Priory 1/2 pt ew @ 6’1 firms offering 4 places – Another very trick puzzle to solve. The selection is a C&D winner and can be forgiven two poor efforts on soft ground at the end of his season. Prior to those he had run up a 3 timer , not on a gimme mark but still has scope

Fairyhouse 4.20 Janidil 1pt win @ 9’4 – Can be a bit of a head in hands watch at times with the jumping. But when getting it right is hight class and would have too much for these rivals , it is a but and a risk however

Kempton 4.40 Laurel 1pt win @ 4’11 – Should have way too much class for these rivals & is a short as 6’1 for the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes (Group 1) in May

Fairyhouse 5.00 Champagne Platinum 3/4pt ew @ 40’1 Bet365 ( 6 places ) NAP – Ran pretty well in this last year considering the ill luck that befell him ( nearly brought down at the 1st & then hampered again at the second last when starting to make his effort ) that was off 3lb higher and was finishing to some effect when last seen in February in the trial for this race

ITV Double

Considering the amount of really tricky races on offer in Ireland & the rather uncompetitive nature of Kempton I am not comfortable offering a double on this occasion ( it would be pure guess work ) & thats not something I do, so we can save a bit for Aintree next week
