1.50 Plenty of in form fillies in this opening race. I am surprised how short in the betting Chic Colombine is , while I can see she has a strong chance it looks a way more competitive race than her price suggests. Bellarchi has won her last 3 & I would have those two much closer together around the top of the market. Granny Bridge & Heritage House are other last time out winners & while they need a bit more on form , they are certainly open to do so. I can’t really find an edge except Chic Columbine looks to short at the current prices , so no bet

2.25 Johannes Brahms Gimcrack second is clearly the best single piece of form on offer here but I am not sure soft ground will be ideal. I can see why Dragon Leader is up there at the top of the market being a progressive and unbeaten colt who has a leading chance at the weight’s. The rest of the field are in double figures with Komat on form, the peak one achieved in the Albany at Royal Ascot where she finished sixth & must have place possibilities off bottom weight. Not a race I want to get involved with

3.00 Darnation is the current favourite & does have very good form on soft having won a Group 2 at a very testing Goodwood. Romanova looks an interesting one being evidently well regarded, having been pitched into Listed grade on debut (never figured but showed some promise); subsequently impressive in maiden at Salisbury (won by wide margin) and looks a very useful prospect for first-season trainer Ollie Sangster. See The Fire has raced once and won & she has been working well at home according to accounts. I do like Romanova’s chance’s. Advised Bet Romanova 1pt ew @ 11’2

3.35 Sumo Sam’s victory at Goodwood has the look of a fluke result given the ride she received ( made all ) but I don’t think it was , I just think she is very well suited to soft ground & with that in play once again she looks to have a cracking chance once again. Golden Lyra is sure to be popular given the jockey that rode Sumo Sam is on board this time but her form looks a little short of Sumo’s. Boogie Woogie has the look of one doing a bit of pot hunting and is another with something to find form wise. Advised Bet Sumo Sam 1pt ew @ 7’2
