Thursday 18th April

Newmarket 1.50 A big field wide open 3 year old handicap to kick things off for today ITV card , I have been through the race & there are a few in this who could go well , City House was top of my list ; but there an dangers aplenty & I am just going swerve it bet wise

Cheltenham 2.05 A lot of the runners in this have little handicapping scope and any type of result would be no surprise , so a race just to leave alone bet wise

Newmarket 2.25 Plenty of the leading yards have runners in this prestigious maiden , all are un-raced and it would be pure guess work on finding the winner , it is race that can throw up a good one though ; so its worth noting for the future

Cheltenham 2.40 Cottie has eyecatching recommendations given her Irish form on good ground and that she represents Dan Skelton, who won two more handicap hurdles at the big Aintree meeting last week and another at Cheltenham yesterday. Advised Bet Cottie 1pt ew @ 9’2 firms offering 5 places

Newmarket 3.00 A very strong looking field for this older aged Group 3 with plenty of old favourites who have done well at this level before. Its not a race I can find any betting angle into , but it is a race that will throw up winners for the rest of the season

Newmarket 3.35 A fascinating Craven with all the top yards represented near enough. One I don’t fancy is the French runner Alcantor whose form is on soft ground and it is not going to be that . Native Approach was turned over at odds on first time out to one that is just a decent handicapper now off 92 , so has to improve plenty for me on that form. Eben Shaddad on the other hand has rock solid graded for from last season and will be better suited to this faster going than when chasing home the current Derby & Guineas favourite City Of Troy ( only 4 and a half lengths adrift that day too ) it is surprising he is not outright favourite to me. Advised Bet Eben Shaddad 2pt win @ 3’1 Bet 365
