Saturday 6th July

Sandown 1.50 The booking of Billy Loughnane could be the catalyst for a return to form for Equality and is taken to follow up his emphatic success in this race last year with the rain forecast going to be a big help too. Advised Bet Equality 1/2 pt ew @ 10’1

Haydock 2.05 A very competitive long distance handicap and nothing stands out at the current prices

Sandown 2.25 Cicero’s Gift has been absent since looking better than the bare result in the 2023 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot (met major traffic issues; 3-3 previously); still a promising sort and looks interesting on return to action. Advised Bet Cicero’s Gift 1/2 pt ew @ 7’1

Haydock 2.40 Sea Theme ran a good race over course and distance last time. She was a bit rusty but finished off well that day . She won a soft-ground novice last July on second start and followed up in Listed race at York; behind Queen Of The Pride and Lady Boba when fourth on reappearance in Group 3 over C&D but that was still a creditable performance as mentioned and she’s in the right hands to improve further. Advised Bet Sea Theme 1/2 pt ew @ 7’1 / 13’2

Sandown 3.00 A trappy looking listed race and I can’t find anything to be interested in with the first 4 in the betting so close together

Haydock 3.15 A race I have been through a few times, but nothing stands out and it just a race to watch for me this time

Sandown 3.35 This should be a walk in the park for City Of Troy if he is in the same form as when running away with the Derby and we can just watch a great horse without betting
