Cheltenham 12.55 a very tight small field race with 4 of the 5 runners having some sort of chance. The market is not giving anything away either so just a race to move on from
Musselburgh 1.10 Paul Nicholls has a good record at this track when sending runners on the long trek north , especially with the hurdlers Afadil is their runner in this race. I am not sure his mark is that forgiving and on form he has something to find too . In This World is the market leader and the mark has come crashing down in 2023 , but the form has been ordinary to say the least and may be he has not gotten over the serious injury sustained in 2021. Benson won this last year but is way higher this time around. I have a suspicion Holmes St Georges may go well at a price , second to the aforementioned Benson last year , but this time he has the assistance of a very good 5lb claimer . Cheltenham 1.30 Inch House is the current favourite , but the yard runners have run like drains in recent days and up well over a stone for juts two wins is a very tough ask to keep winning. Stumptown is way shorter in the betting than I would have thought , the form has been abysmal this season even if it has been in higher class races. Cloudy Glen ran a cracker in the Coral Gold Cup only giving best late on and does run this track well & I would have him favourite. Cloudy Glen 2pt win @ 100’30
Cheltenham 2.05 This looks a bit of a one horse book with Stage Star looking a potential class apart from these rivals & at around even money nothing is being given away , so a no bet race
Musselburgh 2.20 Frere D’Armes is the current 2’1 favourite this evening , but I am not that sure a step up in trip is what he needs , so I can give him a swerve. At a double figure price I think Fidelio Vallis has a bit of a chance , he has twice been runner up at this venue and he seemed to stay this trip well enough last time out and he was top class for the previous yard prior to injury , there is a decent pot in him at some point. Cheltenham 2.40 The one’s to the front of this market have obvious chances , but I feel there is one at a double figure price that may be well handicapped. That is My Bobby Dazzler who s back hurdling today off a 13lb lower mark than when good fourth in this race two years ago. He is a bit of a sluggard so this deep ground will be right up his street.
