Saturday 11th May

Ascot 1.30 Kotari is a very short priced favourite ( 11/4 ) currently & while he is a fast improving type & appears well in under a penalty I can’t help but think that there is something in here to beat him at those odds , but finding that one is beyond me , so a no bet race

Lingfield 1.50 another very tricky handicap puzzle , I do think If Not Now is so lightly race that there is bound to be plenty of improvement this season ; but I am not sure drying ground will be that ideal. Plenty of others in with a chance & I am not betting in this one

Ascot 2.05 I often think a filly in form is one to consider strongly in handicaps & Flying Fin fits that bill perfectly , she has won both her last two by a combined 10l . She is effectively a stone higher than last time but she’s in sparkling form and still improving against one’s that are not. Advised Bet Flying Fin 1pt ew @ 6’1

Lingfield 2.25 A very strong case can be made for Danielle , she was imperious last time out in what was a modest race , but she looks quality and is sure to be a pattern performer this season. The current odds of around evens does not appeal that much for a bet however , so its just a race I will be watching

Ascot 2.40 I do think front/prominent runners can be at a big advantage at this track and Popmaster who’s last four attempts over 7f have resulted in form figures of 2212, including two good efforts here & has a useful claimer booked for the ride. Advised Bet 1/2 pt ew Popmaster @ 10’1 firms offering 6 places

Lingfield 3.00 Meydaan found his stride far too late in the steadily run 1m2f race at Newmarket last time out , but it looked as if moving up in trip was very much in order; he remains capable of better and is a bit of value against this field. Advised Bet Meydaan 1/2 pt ew @ 17’2 / 8’1

Haydock 3.15 Lark In The Mornin is the current short priced favourite over from Ireland and he does look the one to beat , but I will not be investing in a race of this depth at those sort of odds

Lingfield 3.35 A race with two very promising types for this season in Remarquee & Great Generation , it’s hard to pick between them I they are both short in the betting , so just a race to watch
