Curragh 1.50 A field of unexposed 2 year olds and not a race I am betting in. For those that want something to look at closely you could do worse than Mythology at a double figure price , I thought he shaped good promise on the debut run. The O’Brien axis has a few runners the best looking to be Unquestionable who won easily over C&D last time out
Cartmel 2.05 It might be a UK race but you can’t seem to get away from Irish runners these days , with the Elliott having 2 runners & Cromwell having one , with all 3 having something to recommend them . The Cromwell runner interests me the most on form & with the Ben Haslem yard seem to be targeting this course with runners recently it’s a very easy race to swerve given the very competitive nature of the field as a whole
Currgah 2.25 The standout is the UK raider Commanche Falls who bring say far the best form into the race. The rest of the field are much of a muchness class and form wise. It looks Commanche Falls race for the taking but the price tells you as much too
Cartmel 2.40 A load more Irish runners looking to take another prize from the home team with the most interesting of them looking to be Hallowed Star who ran well over fences latest and won in fine style when last tackling hurdles if a deep Galway festival race , that form is a standout in recent runs as the fencing game has not been his bag at all. The home team have a decent shout with Inferno Sacree given he probably still has more to offer, but it is yet another hard race to solve
Curragh 3.00 The most competitive race on the ITV card today with 19 runners. I do think Came From The Dark is on a very good mark these days but he has been very hit and miss over the last 2 seasons and it’s hard to be confident he will show up. Big Gossey has a record of three of his five wins have come here & it was a cracking run in a Group 2 here last time. Hispanic was a massive flop at Royal Ascot after I tipped him and its hard to know were he is at presently. One at a price I am going to take a swing at is Loveday who has just one win but lots of good runs in defeat, including at Down Royal last time.; he looks on a good mark too
Uttoxeter 3.12 Yet more Irish runners looking to plunder the prize but I think they have something to find with the home based runners. The Christian Williams yard do very well in these marathon races and look to have a strong hand with Cap Du Nord & Kalooki . The latter is very well handicapped and looks to have been held back for a summer campaign , interesting to me at the prices
Curragh 3.40 The Irish Derby and another Group 1 Irish race dominated by the O’Brien yard , they should win this with Auguste Rodin who is looking to do the Derby double , but a big run from a bigger priced stablemate would not surprise either , a race to watch not bet in for me
