2.30 Another juvenile race with yet another Irish horse at the front of the market , as I have mentioned on previous day I don’t think the Irish 2 year olds are up to much so far. The Godolphin outfit have had little more to shout about with their juveniles so we can pass them over too. Liberalised goes for a yard that are enjoying great success at this Royal meeting , the same connections landed the Queen Mary here with a similar type two years ago and trainer won it with another once-raced filly on Wednesday. at a huge price I think Nad Alshiba Snow will benefit from this step up to 6f , her two runs have seen her come up against very good rivals that have run very well at this meeting so far & goes for prestigious owner Jaber Abdullah who is no stranger to a juvenile winner at this meeting. Advised Bets Liberalised 1/2 pt ew @ 25’1 firms offering 4 places & Nad Alshiba Snow 1/2 pt ew @ 100’1 firms offering 4 places
3.05 Evade took his form to a much higher level when making winning start for new yard in Listed race at Epsom three weeks ago, the first two pulling 9l clear; races freely and should be at least as effective back at 6f; the Epsom run suggests he’s smart. Malc beat Elite Status in last years Norfolk Stakes yet is a much bigger price than that rival today. There was little wrong with his opening run of the season at Newbury and is now race fit and back on faster ground. Advised Bets Evade 1/2 pt ew 22/1 / 20/1 firms offering 4 places & Malc 1/2 pt ew @ 20’1 firms offering 4 places
3.45 Opera Singer whose progressive 2yo campaign culminated in an impressive performance in the Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp where she drew clear for a 5l success on ground that was faster than the official good to soft; likely to be at concert pitch with reappearance (below-par third in Irish 1,000 Guineas) under her belt she looks the one to beat. Advised Bet Opera Singer 2pt win @ 13’8
4.25 Ethical Diamond Fetched 320,000gns after winning a maiden at Limerick last June; juvenile hurdling career came up well short but he looks a better fit for the Flat, pipped in a handicap at Leopardstown last month and that form has been boosted; he has more to give for a top team when it comes to this meeting. Advised Bet Ethical Diamond 1pt win @ 11’4
5.05 Strutting’s sole win came at this mile trip & arrives here on the back of her best run of the season when close up in a Listed race at Goodwood , handicapper thought to raise her plenty after , but she’s 8lb well in in theory for this & she has the assistance from a top female rider over from Australia. Kitty Rose was a smart 2yo, beating the high-class Content (since close up at the Breeders’ Cup and French 1,000 Guineas) in a Listed race second time out and second to the same filly in a 1m Group 3; another smart performance in a 7f Group 3 on her return when pushing close the Irish 1,000 Guineas runner-up; has earned top weight and Oisin Murphy earmarked her as one of his best rides of the week. Advised Bets Strutting 1/2 pt ew @ 66’1 Paddy Power 7 places & Kitty Rose 1/2 pt ew @ 9’1 firms offering 6 places
5.40 Ralph Beckett & Rossa Ryan have teamed up with 3 runners at this royal meeting with 2 of them winning. They team up again with Macduff who went off a shortish price for the Derby , he is red in the purple (by Sea The Stars out of a half-sister to Kingman) and looked well worth his place in the Derby after an encouraging second in the Classic Trial at Sandown . For whatever reason he didn’t give his running at all at Epsom (always in rear) but it’s interesting that his trainer is happy to turn him out again just three weeks later; cheekpieces go on. Diego Velazquez was unplaced in Group 1 events last three starts but they include an excellent fourth from a wide draw in the French 2,000 Guineas; stoutly bred and seemed likely to relish the step up to 10.5f in the French Derby next time, but could finish only mid pack; arguably has a bit to prove after that but he’s now down in grade and the return to a forecast sound surface may spark a personal best (2-2 on good ground last year). Advised Bets Diego Velazquez 1/2 pt ew @ 4’1 / 7’2 firms offering 4 places & Macduff 1/2 pt ew @ 22’1 firms offering 4 places
6.15 Jubilee Walk’s Each of his five starts has seen him take a significant step forward, winning his last three and creating a big impression when powering clear in a big field handicap at York’s Dante meeting (from Vantheman); looked a smart sprinter in the making on that occasion and a 7lb rise may still underestimate him; this stiffer test at 5f should be ideal; entered in the July Cup and looks a Group-race performer in the making. Dyrholaey is 3-3 on AW this year, overcoming inexperience to win at Chelmsford in January before an emphatic success at Wolverhampton in March; drop to 5f proved no bother at Newcastle in April, pulling well clear with the runner-up; showed a fine attitude on that latest start and although turf is an unknown factor, the yard won this 12 months ago with one who’d cut his teeth on AW; acquired by Wathnan Racing since last seen. Advised Bets Dyrholaey 1/2 pt ew @ 10’1 firms offering 6 places & Jubilee Walk 1/2 pt ew @ 15’2 / 7’1 firms offering 6 places
