A number ITV card for Saturday with 3 venues covered & some nice big fields to wade through
Ascot 1.45 We start with the most difficult race of the day & there are plenty that are in with some sort of chance. King’s Lynn found himself on the wrong side of the draw at Royal Ascot & it is worth marking up that run. Rohaan drops back into handicap company & does have a fairly decent record at this track. Vintage Clarets has won twice on the trot but is more of an all-weather horse , both Zarzyni & Raasel are dropping in the weights while old Equilateral has the back form to go close. No Bet Advised
York 2.00 Wild Lion looks a good place to start after a battling win at this track last month & he is certainly weighted to go well again. Blue For You is another with winning course form & is only 3lb higher than that win. Aramaic goes for a team that likes a win or two at this track & the drop in trip looks a move worth exploring. A difficult puzzle of a race so No Bet Advised
Ascot 2.20 With the ground softening this will play into the hands of both Aldaary & Angel Bleu & both should have a good chance. Jimi Hendrix takes a jump up in class & I doubt he is up to it , while Master Of The Seas drops down in class , but it’s hard to see where you stand with him form wise. A race just to watch for me No Bet Advised
York 2.35 Regional is the obvious starting point having won his last two races , he probably still has scope but I am not sure soft ground will be ideal. Queen Me & Great State both have upsides and will handle soft ground , while Silky Wilkie goes for a stable in fine form. No Bet Advised
Newmarket 2.50 Tafreej scored with something to spare at Yarmouth & I doubt we have seen the best he has to offer. Havana Blue is another handle last time out winner & Royal Dubai looks highly likely to have more to offer. That comment applies to Sniper’s Eye who is on my radar for something this season , but I am not sure about this type of high class handicap company. No Bet Advised
York 3.10 This looks a good quality renewal & one I have had my eye on all week gets into this of a very good mark in my view. Millebosc is the horse and goes for a trainer with a good record in this race & proven ability to handle soft ground , there is plenty to like in my view. Dangers are aplenty but I just get the impression Millebosc has been targeted for this. Advised Bet 1pt ew @ 8’1 firms offering 6 places
Newmarket 3.25 Not a race to dwell on too much with a likely short priced runner in City Of Troy making the trip over from Ireland . Great Truth offers the home challenge , but it’s a race I will just watch. No Bet Advised
York 3.45 This looks a race that Hamish should take given he handles the ground , track & comes out well on top on ratings. But he is odds on so it’s not a race to get involved with. No Bet Advised
Newmarket 4.00 Bless Him bids to retain the title he won last year and although just a couple of pounds higher , the softening ground would be against him. Awaal drops back in trip & does handle soft ground , but is a bit of a grinder and I am not sure 7f will be ideal. One with plenty of ticks in the right boxes is Biggles , who did not have the right conditions of fast ground when running a stormer at Royal Ascot ; he has the ideal scenario this time and with Ryan Moore booked again connections mean business this time. Advised Bet Biggles 1pt ew @ 13’2 firms offering 5 places
Newmarket 4.35 Both Shaquille & Azure Blue come into this in great form & both have leading chances again. Little Big Bear has the ability but looks more and more a tricky and moody ride , so not for me. Kinross will like the easing in ground but at 6 I am doubtful he is on the upward curve some of these are on. No Bet Advised
