York 1.15 I thought this race looks a wide open contest with most of the runners in with a good shout. So I am passing this one over

Newmarket 1.25 The Godolphin 2 year olds seem to be having a strong finish to the turf season & Ancient Wisdom could well be the one to beat ( the yard winning this every time in the last 3 running ) . The threat could come from Chief Little Rock who rallied well last time out and looks as though more than a mile will be ideal . It would not surprise me should Starliner ( trained by O’Brien jr ) put plenty of pace to the race and make this a big test of stamina that will suit his dads horse ( the stable did similar team tactics on Friday ) . Advised Bet Chief Little Rock 3/4 pt ew @ 4’1

Newmarket 2.00 This looks to be between the unbeaten City Of Troy & Iberian on paper , but I am not sure the latter’s form stands out that much and the main danger to City Of Troy could well be stable companion Henry Adams ( who is likely to set the pace for City Of Troy ) . Probably City Of Troy’s race to lose so one to watch

York 2.25 This looks a very deep handicap with some very good types probably capable of graded wins next season at some point. Stable mates Significantly & Pendleton look to have strong chances on form. A low draw could well be a big advantage & both Laugh A Minute & Wobwobwob have done very well on that front drawn 2 & 3 , both should be well up there. In stall 1 is Aleezdancer who will like the ground and get’s a very handy 7lb claimed off his back. I can see a few in with genuine chances so I am going to sit this one out

Newmarket 2.40 There has been lots of noise about the Elliott trainer runner Pied Piper and he heads the market at a ridicules short price in my view, he has a good chance don’t get me wrong but not for me at that price. The other Irish runners look just as interesting in one shape or another . The Shunter being top of the list & I get the feeling he is being lined up for something big from this type of mark. His trainer is as shrewd as they come and given the owner it would not surprise me if he went off favourite at the off should he be well fancied. Jesse Evans is a in-form contender who needs plenty of respect , while the Mullins runners 5 in total could be given a squeak ( the most interesting could be Zenon who I thought was given a very easy time of things on the first run in couple of years a couple of weeks ago. The home team could be headed by the enigmatic Goshen who is probably the best of these over jumps. Advised Bet The Shunter 1/2 ew @ 10’1 firms offering 6 places

York 3.05 Another 2 year old contest that looks far too difficult to get involved with betting wise with so many imponderables

Newmarket 3.15 Arabian Crown currently heads the market at evens , but I think that is way too short given his form is not very strong at all ( debut run when 3rd looks average at best ) The big plus point is the trainers 2 year olds are hitting form but at evens he is easy to swerve. Gasper De Lemos put up a very good second run and looks a fine type to progress at 3. Dambuster but in a very good effort on debut to get up late having looked in deep trouble when getting outpaced 3f out at Sandown , he could be anything. I do think Gasper De Lemos could take the beating . Advised Bet Gasper De Lemos 1pt win @ 3’1

York 3.35 La Yakel is the current shortish priced favourite for this as I write this , but for the life of me I cannot figure out why he is so short. Yes he is more lightly raced than the rest but his form is not that strong and he has blow hot and cold most of the times he does make it to the track. What could beat La Yakel is open to question but it would be no surprise if something did

Newmarket 3.50 Plenty of runners in this with graded form dropping into a handicap , but I think the most interesting runner is a handicapper on the improve in the shape of Real Gain 3 wins from 4 runs and a wide margin winner last time out over C&D stamp him as the one to be with for me against known form lines of the others. Advised Bet Real Gain 1/2 pt ew @ 13’2
